Like having others benefit from removal of your trash? Ready to work toward a change from that? …then you’re just the person needed to join the Westmoreland Recycling Committee! This committee has a thorough plan in hand for Westmoreland to reap benefits from its recycled materials, not an outside company. To start, please read the online minutes of the Westmoreland Board of Selectmen meeting on Tuesday, August 20. Thanks to Ben Hoy, manager of the Walpole Transfer Station, there is good information on how the Town is passing up an opportunity to reap some financial benefits from the co-mingle bin contents, in contrast to present practices. After that, speak up at the next Recycling Committee meeting to be held later this month. Bring a neighbor! Bring a friend! Bring your ideas on how you can help! The committee needs input from townspeople and needs to relay the tentative plans in place at this point. Be a part of progress and efficiency – you can make a difference! Questions? Contact Jean Prior at jeanprior56@gmail.com or Rachel Bartlett at rachelbartlett1@myfairpoint.net We hope to hear from you!
